Impotence and Sex
More men have been seeking help and returning to near-normal sexual activity because of improved, successful treatments for impotence. When a man can't get an erection to have sex or can't keep an erection long enough to finish having sex, it's called erectile dysfunction or impotence.
Men whose impotence is due to a physical cause often find they gradually lose the ability to have an erection, and it tends to happen with all sexual activities. Therapy's very useful in helping you to re-establish a sexual relationship with your partner when there's been a long period without sex. The most frequent hormone abnormality is a reduced level of the male sex hormone testosterone which can be restored by appropriate hormone replacement.
